USA Trip

 Its been a while since my last post, just over a year.

Not much has happened, had my shoulder operation in September 23 so only really started going back out this spring, have been getting quite fit with all the pushing. So I am ready for my trip.

I am going for 8 weeks, will be staying with Nick for a while as he has a road trip planed of 6 days in his truck, so looking forward to that.

I pick up my car on the 9th sept then will leave Nicks on the 10th sept and head to Erin, about a 3 day drive, will stay there a few weeks (not sure how many).

When i leave there i am going to SpaceX, it's a 5/6 day drive. really looking forward to seeing there even if its just a drive past then the drive back to Nicks which will take about 5/6 days

Then chill out at Nicks until the 4th Nov for my flight home.


This is the min time it will take to get to places, but I expect I will get side tracked, well I hope I do.

 Sunday 8th Pick up car from Sarasota airport after 2pm.

Monday 9th

Head to Marion, GM, 17hrs, 1100 miles, should arrive 12th/13th Sept

Day 1

Leave Bradenton then head north towards Atlanta, GM is 7:30 hrs, 502 miles

Day 2

From Atlanta head north to Louisville, GM is 6:30hrs, 395 miles

Day 3

Head north to Marion, GM is 4:20hrs, 247 miles

 

SpaceX trip:

GM: 25hr, 1599 miles. 5 Days min.

Day 1:

Leave Marion and head to Indianapolis. GM, 3:30hrs, 190 miles.

Day 2:

Head South to Nashville. GM, 4:30hrs. 290 miles.

Day 3:

Head to Jackson but go through Memphis. GM, 6:15, 419 miles.

Day 4:

Next stop is Huston, GM, 7:15hrs, 436 Miles.

Day 5:

Huston to SpaceX, Yay I made it. One of the bucket lists. Now get back to Florida.

 

Back to Florida. Need to back by the 26th Oct.

SpaceX to Bradenton, GM, 20:30hrs, 1379 miles

Day 1:

Head back to Huston. GM, 7:15, 436 miles.

Day 2:

I am going to have to go to, New Orleans as I must pass it. GM 5:30, 348 miles.

Day 3:

Time for a short drive, New Orleans to Mobile. GM, 2:15, 144 miles.

Day 4:

Mobile to Tallahassee, GM, 3:30, 243 Miles

Day 5:

Nashville back to Nicks, GM, 5hrs, 315 miles.

Was up at at 5 ready to leave at seven, was a nice drive with Cheryl to the airport arived at 9.30, by the time i got through to the board gate did not have t wa long before i was on the plane, being in a wheelchair they put you on first and last off. First thing i noticed when i got out of Nicks air con car was how hot and humid it is, it’s very hot and humid but once inside it was nice and cool. Going to have a lazy day today, will be in and out the pool most the day

Am I Ready

 I Think i have packed every thing, bags a lot bigger than I wanted but 1/2 is full with sweets and chocolate but then they are for Erin and family and will give me room to bring stuff back, hope to start to add photos when i get there. I think i have worked it out, we will see. People keep asking me if i am excited, to be honest I am not really. I am really looking forward to seeing Nick & Gina again, think it was 2013 when we last met. I am going to have so much fun when I get to Erin and her family, they have 4 young kids so that means they will have a 5th whilst I am there. As Del Boy said " He who dares wins" I will try a little to stay out of trouble
